Running a pub, you hear a lot of things many twists and tales, but my favourite one of all is when a man lies to the wife about his actual location.
Earlier this week , I had a gentleman in who had told his wife that he was on overtime due to a truck being unloaded. He came to the pub phone on airplane mode , and activated the WiFi. He then proceeded to tell anyone who would listen about his genius idea , whilst tapping his phone on the card reader paying for his drinks , where the money goes out of a joint account😂😂
Fast forward 17 minutes his wife was stood in the pub dressing gown complete and the genius idea was exposed.
As I do every year the the help of my friends and customers , I’m doing again this year.
Gifts for kids appeal.
I raise money , or ask for a small gift or toy for either a boy or a girl then we donate them to Hope House Hospice for terminally ill children.
Christmas is a time for giving and to celebrate and my aim is to help these kids do exactly that, with your help.
So I kindly ask between now and the 24th December if you could donate a small gift and drop it in to the pub , where I will put it towards the rest of the stuff we raise including money and hand over to the hospice.
